At Camps Bay Prep school we learn’t the value of approaching litter as a waste free project. It is our aim to reduce the amount of plastics, glass, cling wrap etc that we bring to school to thus create less waste. Our children were introduced and in some cases reminded about the value of buying lunch boxes which accommodate fresh lunch box food and are made from recycled plastics, while also reducing the need for foil, cling wrap and plastic packets or bottles, instead the children are urged to reuse plastic and glass bottles as water bottles for school, to reuse foil where possible and to recycle packaging at home. It is very valuable to witness this awareness emerge and the passion it evokes in our children.
